Many shelters and rescues don't have the resources or money to hire a professional photographer for their intakes. This can result in dogs getting passed over for adoption simply because the photo provided is less than flattering.
For the past 4 years I have partnered with Sit With Me Shelter Dog Rescue, to help promote dog adoption through my photography. Sit With Me works with various shelters, and based on assessments, will place dogs in volunteer foster homes. This is where I typically connect with the dogs. The foster home arranges for a photo session through the form on this page. We meet up and once the photos are edited, I email them to the foster co-ordinator and when the dog is available, the photos are put online through various social media outlets.
